What is SMOKUS?
Shripur Mahila-O-Khadi Unnayan Samity (SMOKUS) is a grassroots project bringing early education to children in rural villages—while empowering mothers as their first and most important teachers. The goal is to break cycles of poverty and illiteracy by building a strong culture of learning at home and in the community.
