ROOTA (Rising Out Of The Ashes) is a Canadian-registered charity that is helping vulnerable children in Egypt.
Children of Hope is proud to announce a collaboration with ROOTA to support 150 children in a Zabaleen Education Project at Manshayet Nasser, Cairo, Egypt.
The Zabaleen community – The garbage collectors recycling 80% of Cairo's waste. These families face extreme marginalization and are forced to work, especially children. Due to poverty, child labor, household duties, and cultural barriers, the dropout ratio among young people from schools is very high.
